How to access the secret tape
- From the main menu, select the tapes screen with the old CRT TV.
- You will see three tapes beside the TV.
- Look closely at the top of the TV - a fourth tape sits half-hidden in shadow.
- Hover over it: the TV screen turns red and shows an unsettling face.
- Select the hidden tape to play it.
What is on the tape
The tape shows a grey, static-filled screen with subtitles running along the bottom. It reads as a final account from a scientist - apparently named Fletcher - who has been cornered by the Fallen Angels. It also briefly shows a single image of a Fallen Angel squeezing through a cramped corridor.
The footage is presented as the "First Fletcher Tape," framed as a desperate recording made while the Fallen Angels closed in.
The "First Fletcher Tape" implication
The title "First Fletcher Tape" strongly implies more Fletcher tapes exist, despite the recording's abrupt end. Either Fletcher survived to record again, or - far more disturbing - the tapes continued without him. This is a likely thread for Volume 2.
What it means for the story
The tape connects the menu framing to the in-game conspiracy: ELC Inc, the Fallen Angels, and the people who tried to document them. Read it alongside the unlocked Section 4 files (via the 8137 code) for the fullest picture of what was happening before Henry's night.
